I recently was bitten by what I thought was a spider, then about a few days later got another one. Is it possible that I have bed bugs? I thought that if you have them that you get multiple bites almost every night. I have been bitten by something twice in four days, and am scared to death that they are bed bugs because I've been bitten by them before and they were a nightmare.

Yes it could be bed bugs. Look at the pictures on Remove Bed Bug Guide (on the left page of the main web site) - http://www.downloadfocus.com/download_remove_bed_bugs_guide.php - some people can get lots of red marks from the bites

Look for fractures in the wall surfaces. Most of these could also be camouflaging below wall hangings. For people with recently purchased retro or previously owned bedroom furniture, have a great look. But if the room or living area is in a mess, they likely could have a lot of destination to cover up, so, it will be of great benefit and keep the surrounding nice and clean. Presented below is a few details on a number of successful family home treatments for bed bugs reduction.

Takes just one to drive a person nuts.

What I would do, is take everything off of the mattress and as fast as possible stick everything into several trash bags, pillows first.

Then as fast as possible get that clothing into the dryer, one bag at a time (DONT dry the plastic bag, and dry those clothing on lower heat settings, the trick here is SPEED, you don't want the bed bug escaping, you want it dead, in the dryer.

Once you have finished with all of the bags, Just wash everything and dry it again.

Everyone reacts differently to insect bites and it may take hours to days for you to have a reaction. Bedbugs are on the rise in America and this was the worst year since after WWII for us. I recommend that you call a professional and have your home inspected.

Not very likely. bedbugs are more prone to leave a trail of bites as they crawl on you.

Spiders are not bloodsuckers and would have no reason to bite sleeping humans,so a single spider bite would be extremely rare.

Other biting insects usually produce multiple bites also.

It is more likely this is a skin condition you are mistaking for bites.

Directly answering your question, 'Possible', just highly unlikely.

Unfortunately, Bed bugs can recur at anytime. They can live in your mattress for about a month without food and oxygen so just when you think it was a one off bite from a spider, they could start appearing again.

Look out for 3 bites close to each other (commonly known as 'Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). This is a tell tale sign that it's bed bugs.

Lift up your mattress and check inside the seems for any black bits that may be bodies or feaces. Hover the mattress completely and get yourself a mattress protector and some bed bug spray. I hope this helps.
