whats a good website to get your CPR rectification for a health care provider?

I went to www.icpri.com and was about to start when firefox blocked the page because it was not legitimate. I don't want to put my card information somewhere like that. can anyone tell me from experience where you have gone, online, to get your CPR rectification plz ?

You can't and you're risking lives by attempting to learn CPR online.



You need to take a certified class with a certified instructor, the red cross do great courses and your local firestation may also be able to help (depending on where you live).



You don't get the experience off the internet and you certainly won't know how to use CPR properly from the internet. For example, the internet will tell you if you're using enough pressure to break a rib during compressions, you're doing it properly, a certified instructor will tell you if you're using enough pressure to break a rib during compressions, you're doing it properly BUT you should avoid breaking a rib at all costs.



CPR just can't be taught through the internet.

CPR for the Healthcare Provider is not available online. It is a course offered by the American Heart Association, and it's affiliated Training Centers.



It requires a psycho-motor skills demonstration and evaluation, as well as a written test. Yes, even the renewal.



You may be able to complete the didactic portion of the class online through the AHA, then find an instructor who will perform the skills evaluation.



The Healthcare Provider course is specifically meant for those who are in, or wishing to be in, a Healthcare Profession. As such, if you get a card from an online website, your employer or future employer is not likely to accept that card.
